Hi, I am Nicole Kasserman. I am the General Education teacher in the classroom. I went to the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana for my undergrad and received my Masters of Early Childhood Education from DePaul University. This is my fifth year in a preschool classroom at Courtenay Language Arts Center and I love it! I love watching my students develop into independent little people as the year progresses. When I am not at Courtenay; I enjoy doing yoga, riding bicycles, walking my dog, and traveling.
I am Claire Brandon, the LBS1 Specialist in Room 104. I have 22 years of Early Childhood Experience. I have worked for non- profit organizations and have 16 years with CPS. I hold a Bachelor of Science Degree in Early Childhood Education. I earned my LBS 1 M.A. Degree in 2012 and have been working with diverse learners since that time.
I have 3 adult children and 10 grandchildren. I love spending time with family and friends. I am currently the business manager for my neighborhood block club. I like gardening and traveling and enjoying Chicago events.
I have not worked with this age group for 6 years and I am excited to be working with our young children again. This is the age that the seeds of lifelong learning are planted. It gives me great pleasure to be of service to the Courtenay Pre K Families.
